thanks a lot for all the bday wishes!
I thought I use that occassion to submit something recent. I haven't posted any new images since ... quite a while
This photo manipulation / matte painting will be part of a serie, I'm currently working on that will merely serve as my website background. I'm currently working on a new one, after letting my old one rust for the last 7 years. I guess it shows my love for webdesign
I took the photograph of the beach from my last trip to south england, at Lime Regis and Charmouth. I simply fell in love with this place called Jurassic coast, as fossils crumble with the tide in the sea and tourists (like me) pick 'em up as souvenirs.
Besides some artefacts I also brought home tons of photographs shot with my good ol' nikon d300s and a 10-24mm fisheye lens to dramatize the scale.
I got inspired by the abandoned shivering sands sea fortress that I've found to be a nice focal point to give it a post ww2 / apocalyptic look together with a muted color palette ...
I'll keep you posted about new works coming up and hopefully I get my new portfolio done soon ...
cheers and thanks for watching,
