Meduzarts: Subaru Ep2, Matte1by ~inetgrafx

Hi there!

It's a 3d matte painting that we did at Meduzarts - the digital environment company (www.meduzarts.com).
The client was Subaru and the project was a 3 Episode commmercial in HDTV resolution. The 3d modelling, texturing and rendering was done by Stephan Brisson and Eve Berthelette. My part was the concept art and the final digital matte painting. This project was lots of fun to work on, since the only restrictions was the look of a dark, chinese futuristic city at night.
We've split the matte in 5 layers for the camera projection using Maya as 3d program and Photoshop for the digital painting.

Beautiful work. I'm not up on my Asian geography, is this work completely fictional or is it a view from an existing location in a real city?
